Vesta is committed to reducing the environmental and climate impact in our developments and operations, for the benefit of our tenants, the real estate industry, and the communities where we operate.
Vesta understands that, considering the characteristics of our core business, our stakeholder participation is key to achieving the sustainable development goals established by our environmental strategy. We also promote a culture of care and preservation of the environment, biodiversity and natural habitats where do we operate.
Our developments are built by contractors based on the specifications of the Vesta Sustainable Construction Manual, which was drafted in 2012 in collaboration with a strategic partner and in accordance to international sustainable construction standards. Likewise, we measure the impact of our contractors before, during, and after they do their work by asking them to fill out a checklist that considers environmental, social, and governance topics. The Manual describes strategies to be used in designing industrial parks aimed at reducing environmental impact during construction, once the building is in use, and during its future demolition. These actions include:
Water
Energy and
Atmosphere
Material and
Resources
Indoor Environmental

Our Sustainable Construction Manual includes a number of strategies that are used during the design of our industrial buildings, thus reducing environmental impact during construction, usage, and eventual demolition of our buildings.
At Vesta we promote the use of eco-efficient technologies that have the lowest water and energy impacts, by implementing LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). This international standard enabled us to reduce energy and water consumption and foster these sustainable practices with our main stakeholders.
In addition, all of our new inventory buildings were built in accordance with our internal “eco-efficient” guidelines, with which we underline our commitment to preserving the environment.
